The Noguchi table was first presented in the 1940s and quickly became a classic in modern furniture. The table consists of two parts: a solid wood base and a glass top. The base is made up of two identical curved pieces of wood that fit together and create a tripod-like structure, while the glass top is free-form and features a smooth, organic shape.

Available in several finishes of natural wood, walnut and ebony, the Noguchi is Japanese elegance at the service of creation. The Noguchi table is considered a masterpiece of 20th century design.

The son of a Japanese poet and an American writer, sculptor Isamu Noguchi is the creator of this organic coffee table, with a unique expression in the world. Before it was commercialized in 1948 and had the appearance we know today, the table was designed in different ways. The only common points are the glass top the fact that it stands on three legs.

The story goes that this table was almost forgotten and never saw the light of day. Indeed, during World War II and following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans were interned in camps. Exempted, Noguchi still wanted to support them and asked for voluntary internment. But during this internment, he saw in a magazine something that will make him angry.

One of these table works he had designed for a project and almost forgotten, was mass-produced without his consent and without compensation. He then asked not to be interned again and headed for New York. After months of hard work, the famous and iconic Noguchi table was created.
