To know everything about the materials used by Gus* Modern

Noble, colorful and quality materials

Gus* Modern is a company committed to creating sustainable furniture that reflects their eco-responsible ethic. Their approach is focused on using eco-friendly materials, such as FSC®-certified wood and Vegan AppleSkin leather. They are also on the lookout for new innovative processes to make their creations even more sustainable.

In addition to using eco-friendly materials, Gus* Modern strives to minimize their environmental impact by reducing manufacturing waste. They use recycled PET fillings and Zero VOC finishes for their products. Their goal is to create timeless modern furniture that lasts and is environmentally friendly.

Gus* Modern is proud of their commitment to sustainability, and they continue to seek out new ways to improve their environmental impact. By choosing furniture from this company, you can rest assured that you are helping to preserve the environment while adding a touch of style and sophistication to your interior.

recycled PET

PET fill is made from recycled plastic bottles, which are purified and refined to create a synthetic fill that provides the same comfort and loft as traditional waterfowl down. This process is good for the environment as it diverts plastic bottles from landfills and waterways, reducing the amount of waste produced.

In addition to being eco-friendly, PET padding is also durable. Unlike traditional down, it retains its shape and loft even after prolonged use. Plus, it won't shed its fibers or sag over time, making it an ideal choice for cushions and seating.

Thus, by using PET padding, Gus* Modern is able to create comfortable and durable furniture while respecting the environment and reducing production waste.

Drink

Gus* is an environmentally conscious company, which uses wood as a base material for the construction of its furniture, in particular for the foundations and frames of its upholstered models. Wood is a natural material with a unique beauty, and Gus* knows that.

With this in mind, Gus* has obtained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certification. This certification offers a guarantee that the wood used by Gus* comes from responsible sources and that it is therefore from responsible forest management. By purchasing FSC® certified products, consumers can make environmentally responsible choices. It also contributes to the preservation of forests for future generations.

By using wood from sustainable sources, Gus* also participates in the promotion of renewable and recyclable products. Indeed, well-managed forests can provide a continuous source of these products, while maintaining the health and biodiversity of forest ecosystems.

Fabrics

Gus* is a company that cares about the quality and durability of its furniture, including the choice of fabrics used to manufacture it. This is because most of their products are available in different colors and with different fabrics to provide customers with a variety of choices. For example, a sofa can be offered in four colors, but with two different types of fabric, such as a velvet or a fabric inlaid with colored fibers, such as Funfetti.

To meet this demand for diversity, Gus* has developed more than fifty fabrics that stand out for their pleasant feel, quality and aesthetics. These fabrics feature shimmering, eye-catching colors that blend easily into most interiors or can be used to create a striking contrast. By choosing Gus* furniture, you can be sure to have a wide variety of quality fabrics to personalize your interior decoration.

vegan leather

Leather is a commonly used material for furniture, but it is not always environmentally friendly. That's why Gus* Modern worked with partners to find an eco-friendly alternative to traditional leather. This alternative is Vegan AppleSkin™ leather, a durable and eco-friendly material that has been exclusively designed for the brand and made in Italy.

This leather is made from food scraps from the Italian apple orchard and fruit juice industries. This waste is recovered and recycled to create fruit fibers which are then transformed into a vegan and OEKO-TEX® certified biopolymer material. The result is a material that looks and feels like natural leather, but is much more durable and easy to clean.
