Function and aesthetics combined
In this case, a timeless design intended for everyday use, where its stellar lines serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. A form designed from childhood memories, where the comfort of those traditional wooden school chairs of the 1950s, with their humble and functional use of materials, has been reinvented in the stackable one-piece plastic dining chair of the 21st century . This is Stellar from TOOU Design.
Contrast with the soft ergonomics of the seat and back
Strong lines shared with modern fighter jets and military decorations are decontextualized and brought together to form a peaceful and inviting multifunctional design. The triangular star-shaped volumes on the rear and lower parts underline the load-bearing function of these structures and form a pleasant aesthetic contrast with the soft and welcoming ergonomics of the seat and back.
