Blu Dot's Strut bar-height table: rigorous geometry and elegance in every angle

Blu Dott's Strut bar-height dining table applies what made the range so successful to a bar format: rigorous geometry, a structure that is meant to be seen without seeking to conceal itself, and an elegance that lies in the precision of each angle. At 40 inches high, it imposes a new way of occupying space — standing or perched on a stool, body upright, mind alert. A posture that changes everything about the dynamic of a shared meal or a work session.

A graphically light diagonal structure that is both subject and support

The Strut's visual signature lies in its powder-coated steel base, whose diagonal elements form a strong triangulation visible on each side of the table. Viewed from the side, the structure forms a clean and intentional geometry, halfway between architecture and industrial sculpture. This base, both solid and graphically light, disappears under the tabletop without ever fading away: it is both the subject and the support.

Six to ten people accommodated depending on the version, for offices, open spaces, and restaurants

The wooden top, covered with a lacquered polyurethane finish, offers a smooth, scratch-resistant, and easy-to-maintain surface — essential qualities in an intensive use context. Whether for standing meetings, team lunches, or collaborative work sessions, the Strut handles all uses without flinching. It comfortably accommodates six to ten people, depending on the chosen version, on high stools, making it a natural choice for professional catering spaces, open-plan offices, informal meeting rooms, or kitchen areas in contemporary offices.

Easy to assemble, suitable for demanding offices as well as loft-style interiors

Available in white or slate, the Strut bar-height table integrates with the same ease into a demanding office environment as into a loft-style living space. Easy to assemble, sober in its form but precise in its details, it is one of those pieces that structure a space without dominating it — and which you eventually can't do without.

Combining business with pleasure

At Blu Dot, the philosophy is clear: design is not just about aesthetics. It must, above all, adapt to today's lifestyles and work environments, offering solutions that are creative, functional, and intuitive. Each creation aims to improve everyday life—to make it more fluid, more enjoyable, more seamless.

With this in mind, each piece designed by Blu Dot is designed to last, with a true personality and purpose. The goal? To offer useful, durable objects capable of providing pleasure day after day, year after year.

Blu Dot

Homemade

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.

About Blu Dot

Since its inception, Blu Dot has pursued the same ambition: to make good design accessible to as many people as possible. A simple, yet powerful idea—one that has guided the company for over twenty years.

What the founders perhaps didn't anticipate is that so many years later, they'd still be there, in their Minneapolis studio, imagining objects that are beautiful, useful, and designed for everyday life. The difference today? The team has grown, it's enriched with passionate talent... and the workbench has seriously grown.
