A seat that also serves as a side table or footrest

There are objects you don't immediately know what to call, and that's precisely what makes them interesting. The Turn stool by Blu Dot is one of them: a low seat, a side table, a footrest, or a simple decorative piece, it adapts to the needs of the moment with natural ease. Entirely made of turned solid acacia wood, it shares the same sculptural and warm vocabulary as the rest of the Turn collection, while adding an extra functional dimension thanks to two side cutouts that serve as handles and invite easy movement from one room to another.

A durable and interchangeable wool felt seat

Its seat is covered with a thick 100% wool felt pad, available in several colors to adapt to any interior or change the ambiance as desired. This felt, tested at 30,000 double rubs, is as resistant as it is pleasant to the touch, and can be replaced separately to give the stool a fresh new look without having to change the base. The acacia wood, with its natural grains and variations, makes each piece a unique object whose personality becomes more defined over time.

Combining business with pleasure

At Blu Dot, the philosophy is clear: design is not just about aesthetics. It must, above all, adapt to today's lifestyles and work environments, offering solutions that are creative, functional, and intuitive. Each creation aims to improve everyday life—to make it more fluid, more enjoyable, more seamless.

With this in mind, each piece designed by Blu Dot is designed to last, with a true personality and purpose. The goal? To offer useful, durable objects capable of providing pleasure day after day, year after year.

Blu Dot

Homemade

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.

About Blu Dot

Since its inception, Blu Dot has pursued the same ambition: to make good design accessible to as many people as possible. A simple, yet powerful idea—one that has guided the company for over twenty years.

What the founders perhaps didn't anticipate is that so many years later, they'd still be there, in their Minneapolis studio, imagining objects that are beautiful, useful, and designed for everyday life. The difference today? The team has grown, it's enriched with passionate talent... and the workbench has seriously grown.
