The Mate sofa by Blu Dot extends the collection by offering a two-seater version. It shares the same formal language as the armchair and chair, but on a more generous scale: the rounded backrest extends in width, the armrests frame the whole with the same understated elegance, and the tubular powder-coated aluminum structure rests on four slender legs that visually lighten the volume. A piece that has the presence of an indoor sofa, with the durability required for outdoor living.
A light and refined play of transparency visible from all angles
The backrest and sides are clad in the same all-weather synthetic rope, stretched vertically, characteristic of the collection. The parallel lines create a play of transparency that allows the piece to breathe and prevents any massive effect, particularly noticeable when viewed from behind or from an angle. The rear view also reveals a finish as meticulous as the front: the Mate sofa is beautiful from all angles.

- Clean the metal frame with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- To remove dirt and fingerprints, use a quality cleaning product specifically designed for metal furniture. Wipe thoroughly with a soft cloth until the surface is completely dry.
- Clean rope surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid rubbing the rope surface too vigorously, as this could damage it. Allow the rope surface to air dry before use.
- We recommend the following care: wipe up spills with a clean, dry cloth, cover furniture out of season, and store indoors during winter months.
- This product is upholstered with Sunbrella® fabrics. Sunbrella® fabrics are treated to repel water and stains, and do not promote mildew growth. However, we recommend regular maintenance, as mildew can grow on dust and dirt embedded in the fabric. Do not use abrasive cleaners on painted metal, as this may alter the surface finish. Store furniture indoors during winter months.
- Regularly vacuum your upholstery to prevent dust and dirt from embedding in the fabric. To remove minor wrinkles, we recommend using an iron set to the synthetic program. Clean metal parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth. To remove dirt and fingerprints, use a quality cleaner specifically designed for metal furniture. Wipe thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
- Act quickly in case of spills. Blot the liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub the surface. Apply a solution of water and mild dish soap to the affected area. Rinse the entire fabric surface thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry. For stubborn stains, consult a professional cleaning specialist.
- Mildew can grow on dust and dirt embedded in the fabric. Before cleaning, we recommend moving the furniture to a suitable workspace or protecting the surrounding floor. To remove mildew stains, we recommend applying a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup of mild dish soap per 1 gallon of water. Let stand for up to 15 minutes. Then clean the entire surface with a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove all residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry completely before use.
- Avoid leaving heavy or sharp objects on the furniture surface for long periods, as this could cause permanent marks. In case of a snag, gently reinsert loose threads into the fabric or carefully push them towards the back. Never pull on loose threads or cut them. Do not use a garment steamer to remove wrinkles, as this could damage the fabric.
- Protect your furniture from direct sunlight, as this can lead to uneven fading of the leather over time.
