The alliance between simplicity and luminous presence

The Bub pendant lamp by hanging lamp embodies the perfect balance between simplicity and visual presence. Crafted from hand-blown glass, it gently captures light, diffusing a warm, enveloping glow that instantly transforms the atmosphere of a room. Its olive-green tinted shade forms a harmonious whole with the base, creating a fluid and refined silhouette that is as pleasing to behold when switched off as it is when switched on.

Fluid lines and a tinted lampshade for a warm light

Every detail of Bub reflects the care of the craftsmanship—from the subtly tinted glass that plays with transparency to the discreet yet assertive powder-coated steel support. Suspended alone above a side table or in a group above a counter, it becomes a centerpiece that draws the eye without ever being imposing.

A fabric-covered cord and neat finishing touches

The fabric-covered cord adds a finishing touch of texture and quality, highlighting the design's cohesiveness. Whether used in a contemporary living room, an intimate dining room, or a calming bedroom, the Bub lamp diffuses a soft, poetic light, celebrating both the beauty of the material and the artistry of the craftsmanship.

Combining business with pleasure

At Blu Dot, the philosophy is clear: design is not just about aesthetics. It must, above all, adapt to today's lifestyles and work environments, offering solutions that are creative, functional, and intuitive. Each creation aims to improve everyday life—to make it more fluid, more enjoyable, more seamless.

With this in mind, each piece designed by Blu Dot is designed to last, with a true personality and purpose. The goal? To offer useful, durable objects capable of providing pleasure day after day, year after year.

Blu Dot

Homemade

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.

About Blu Dot

Since its inception, Blu Dot has pursued the same ambition: to make good design accessible to as many people as possible. A simple, yet powerful idea—one that has guided the company for over twenty years.

What the founders perhaps didn't anticipate is that so many years later, they'd still be there, in their Minneapolis studio, imagining objects that are beautiful, useful, and designed for everyday life. The difference today? The team has grown, it's enriched with passionate talent... and the workbench has seriously grown.
