An elongated sun lounger design, ideal for patios and pool sides

A horizontal extension of the collection, the Perch lounger by Blu Dot is designed for one thing: lying back, closing your eyes, and letting time pass. With its low, elongated silhouette, it naturally fits by the poolside or on a sunny terrace, as if it had always been there.

A mobile and stable powder-coated aluminum frame to easily follow the sun

What immediately distinguishes the Perch is its pair of wheels integrated into the powder-coated aluminum frame — discreet, elegant, perfectly in line with the design spirit. They allow the lounger to be moved effortlessly, to follow the sun throughout the day, or to be brought in with a single gesture. Available in white or charcoal, the frame ensures stability and visual lightness in both finishes.

Visible slats over the entire surface providing visual rhythm and natural patina

Where the lounge chair and sofas in the collection reveal their slats on the sides, the outdoor lounger exposes them in full light — across the entire seating surface. The FSC® certified solid teak, warm and golden initially, reveals itself here in all its generosity. Its rectangular slats create a regular and sculptural rhythm, both beautiful to look at and pleasant to experience. Over time, the wood develops its characteristic silver patina, which enriches the piece's character without ever wearing it out.

Modular comfort with UV, water, and weather-resistant fabric

The backrest is adjustable, allowing you to switch from a lying position to a semi-reclined posture depending on your mood — reading, napping, or simple contemplation. A generous cushion made of high-performance Sunbrella® fabric covers the entire piece, offering enveloping comfort that resists water, UV, stains, and mildew. It maintains its appearance and softness season after season, regardless of the sun's intensity.

  • This armchair is covered with Sunbrella© fabrics. Sunbrella fabrics are treated to be water and stain resistant, and prevent mildew growth. We recommend regular cleaning, as mildew can grow on dirt and dust embedded in the fabric.
  • Regularly vacuum the upholstery; this will help prevent dirt and dust from becoming embedded in the fabric. To remove small creases, we recommend using an iron set to the "synthetic" setting.
  • Act quickly in case of spills. Blot up spilled liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub the surface. Apply a solution of water and mild dish soap to the affected area. Rinse the fabric surface thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry. Consult a cleaning professional for stubborn stains.
  • Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the furniture surface for long periods; this could cause permanent marks. If the fabric pills, tuck the loose threads back into the fabric or gently push them back to the underside. Never pull on loose threads or cut them. Do not use a steam iron to remove wrinkles, as this could damage the fabric.
  • Mildew can grow on dirt and dust embedded in the fabric. Before cleaning, we recommend moving the furniture to a safe work area or covering the surrounding floor. To remove mildew stains, we recommend applying a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup of mild dish soap per gallon of water. Let the solution sit for up to 15 minutes. Clean the entire surface with a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry completely before use.
  • Teak is a solid, sustainably sourced Grade A wood. The natural properties of teak make it particularly suitable for outdoor use. Please note that grain and color may vary from piece to piece due to natural variations in the wood.
  • Over time, teak acquires a silvery-gray patina. The extent and speed of this evolution depend on the climate, exposure to weather, and level of maintenance. Temperature changes cause natural expansion and contraction of teak, which can sometimes lead to the appearance of fine cracks. These should not affect the structural integrity of the furniture.
  • The natural oils in teak make it ideal for outdoor use: they prevent rot and make it resistant to fungi and wood-boring insects.
  • Avoid leaving water to stand on surfaces. This can cause the natural oils of the teak to rise to the surface and create water stains.
  • Over time, exposure to moisture can also bring out the wood grain. Simply sand with fine sandpaper to smooth it.
  • To keep your teak looking particularly beautiful, we recommend covering it when not in use. If you prefer your teak to be less silvery-gray, we suggest using Bayes Teak Cleaner and Restorer to help maintain its original color or restore some of it if it is already weathered. Apply it according to the manufacturer's instructions for best results.
  • For optimal results, we recommend the following care: wipe up spills with a clean, dry cloth, cover furniture out of season, and store indoors during winter months.

Combining business with pleasure

At Blu Dot, the philosophy is clear: design is not just about aesthetics. It must, above all, adapt to today's lifestyles and work environments, offering solutions that are creative, functional, and intuitive. Each creation aims to improve everyday life—to make it more fluid, more enjoyable, more seamless.

With this in mind, each piece designed by Blu Dot is designed to last, with a true personality and purpose. The goal? To offer useful, durable objects capable of providing pleasure day after day, year after year.

Blu Dot

Homemade

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.

About Blu Dot

Since its inception, Blu Dot has pursued the same ambition: to make good design accessible to as many people as possible. A simple, yet powerful idea—one that has guided the company for over twenty years.

What the founders perhaps didn't anticipate is that so many years later, they'd still be there, in their Minneapolis studio, imagining objects that are beautiful, useful, and designed for everyday life. The difference today? The team has grown, it's enriched with passionate talent... and the workbench has seriously grown.
