An outdoor sofa with light horizontal lines for a terrace, patio or garden

More generous in its proportions, the Perch 3-seater outdoor sofa by Blu Dot asserts a remarkable horizontal presence — almost architectural — without ever weighing down the space. Its long silhouette, supported by a powder-coated aluminum frame in matte white or charcoal, floats lightly above the ground and instantly redefines the ambiance of a terrace, patio, or garden.

A harmonious contrast between natural wood and durable contemporary metal

Like the entire collection, the Perch 3-seater sofa rests on the combination of rectangular slats made of FSC® certified solid teak and a powder-coated aluminum frame. The natural warmth of the wood meets the rigor of the metal, creating that harmonious contrast that is the visual signature of the collection. Sourced from sustainably managed forests, teak improves with time, developing a silvery patina that enriches the character of the piece season after season.

A rhythmic composition of cushions and an open structure with a sculptural style

From the front, the rhythmic repetition of the three individual cushions — back and seat — creates an orderly and soothing picture. From a side view outdoors, the open structure and the cut of the slats reveal all the constructive rigor of the design. The Perch 3-seater sofa is as much to be looked at as it is to be lived in.

Six durable individual cushions available in several colors

Six individual cushions in high-performance Sunbrella® fabric — three backrests, three seats — offer enveloping comfort for each occupant. Water-resistant, UV-resistant, stain-resistant, and mildew-resistant, they withstand the seasons without losing their appearance or softness. Available in several colors, they adapt to every environment — from summery blue to more sober grey.

  • This sofa is covered with Sunbrella© fabrics. Sunbrella fabrics are treated to be water and stain resistant, and prevent mildew growth. We recommend regular cleaning, as mildew can grow on dirt and dust embedded in the fabric.
  • Vacuum the upholstery regularly; this will prevent dirt and dust from embedding in the fabric. To remove small wrinkles, we recommend using an iron set to the "synthetic" setting.
  • Act quickly in case of spills. Blot spilled liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub the surface. Apply a solution of water and mild dish soap to the affected area. Rinse the fabric surface thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry. Consult a cleaning professional for stubborn stains.
  • Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the furniture surface for extended periods; this could cause permanent marks. If the fabric pills, tuck protruding threads into the fabric or gently push them back to the reverse side. Never pull or cut protruding threads. Do not use a steam iron to remove wrinkles, as this could damage the fabric.
  • Mildew can grow on dirt and dust embedded in the fabric. Before cleaning, we recommend moving the furniture to a safe workspace or covering the surrounding floor. To remove mildew stains, we recommend applying a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup of mild dish soap per gallon of water. Let the solution sit for a maximum of 15 minutes. Clean the entire surface with a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove all residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry completely before use.
  • Teak is a solid A-grade wood from sustainable sources. Teak's natural properties make it particularly suitable for outdoor use. Please note that grain and color may vary from piece to piece due to natural variations in the wood.
  • Over time, teak acquires a silvery-grey patina. The extent and speed of this evolution depend on the climate, exposure to weathering, and level of maintenance. Temperature changes cause natural expansion and contraction of teak, which can sometimes lead to the appearance of fine cracks. These should not affect the structural integrity of the furniture.
  • Teak's natural oils make it ideal for outdoor use: they prevent rot and make it resistant to fungi and wood-boring insects.
  • Avoid letting water stagnate on surfaces. This can bring teak's natural oils to the surface and create water stains.
  • Over time, exposure to moisture can also bring out the wood grain. Simply sand with fine sandpaper to smooth it.
  • To keep your teak looking particularly good, we recommend covering it when not in use. If you prefer your teak to be less silvery-grey, we suggest using Bayes Teak Cleaner and Restorer to help maintain its original color or restore some of it if it is already weathered. Apply according to the manufacturer's instructions for best results.
  • For best results, we recommend the following care: wipe spills with a clean, dry cloth, cover furniture out of season, and store indoors during winter months.

Combining business with pleasure

At Blu Dot, the philosophy is clear: design is not just about aesthetics. It must, above all, adapt to today's lifestyles and work environments, offering solutions that are creative, functional, and intuitive. Each creation aims to improve everyday life—to make it more fluid, more enjoyable, more seamless.

With this in mind, each piece designed by Blu Dot is designed to last, with a true personality and purpose. The goal? To offer useful, durable objects capable of providing pleasure day after day, year after year.

Blu Dot

Homemade

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.

About Blu Dot

Since its inception, Blu Dot has pursued the same ambition: to make good design accessible to as many people as possible. A simple, yet powerful idea—one that has guided the company for over twenty years.

What the founders perhaps didn't anticipate is that so many years later, they'd still be there, in their Minneapolis studio, imagining objects that are beautiful, useful, and designed for everyday life. The difference today? The team has grown, it's enriched with passionate talent... and the workbench has seriously grown.
