- Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. To remove dirt and fingerprints, use quality cleaners specially formulated for metal furniture. Wipe completely dry with a soft cloth.
- This teak is premium grade A solid wood from sustainable sources. Teak's natural characteristics make it particularly suitable for outdoor use. Please note that grain and color may vary from piece to piece due to natural variations in the wood.
- Teak also develops a silver-grey patina over time. The extent and speed of this change depend on the climate, exposure to the elements, and level of maintenance. Temperature changes cause natural expansion and contraction in teak, which can sometimes lead to hairline cracks. These should not affect the structural integrity of the design.
- Teak's natural oils make it ideal for outdoor use, as they prevent rot and make it resistant to fungi and wood-boring insects. Avoid leaving water stagnant on surfaces. This can cause teak's natural oils to rise to the surface and create water stains.
- Over time, exposure to moisture can also cause the wood grain to become more prominent. Simply sand with fine sandpaper to smooth it. To keep your teak looking beautiful, we recommend covering it when not in use. If you prefer your teak to be less silver-grey, we suggest using Bayes Teak Cleaner & Restorer to maintain its original color or restore it if it is already patinated. Apply the product according to the manufacturer's instructions for best results.
