There are pieces that speak for themselves without saying a word. The Small Talk end table by Blu Dot is one of them. Monolithic, organic, with its gently rounded shapes that invite touch, this side table is small only in name.

A glossy finish resistant to wear and UV rays for an elegant look

Its secret? Hand-cast fiberglass-reinforced concrete, both stronger and lighter than traditional concrete. The result is a piece with the sculptural presence of an art object, but all the practicality of an everyday furniture piece. Its high-gloss finish, resistant to wear and UV rays, catches the light with an unexpected elegance for such a raw material.

A practical size to accompany a sofa, an armchair or a bedroom

Designed for both indoor and outdoor living, it effortlessly adapts to the edge of a sofa, next to a patio armchair or as a bedside table. Rubber pads attached to the base protect floors and ensure perfect stability on all surfaces. And unlike most tables that require assembly, this one arrives ready to use, straight out of the box.

  • Bring the furniture indoors during freezing temperatures.
  • Avoid leaving objects on the table for long periods or in humid weather, as this may cause marks. Prolonged exposure can penetrate the protective treatment and cause discoloration of the surface.

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.
