- This armchair is upholstered with Sunbrella© fabrics. Sunbrella fabrics are treated to be water-repellent and stain-resistant, and prevent mold growth. We recommend regular cleaning, as mold can develop on ingrained dirt and dust in the fabric.
- Vacuum the upholstery regularly; this will prevent dirt and dust from becoming ingrained in the fabric. To remove small creases, we recommend using an iron set to the "synthetic" setting.
- Act quickly in case of spills. Blot spilled liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub the surface. Apply a solution of water and mild dish soap to the affected surface. Rinse the fabric surface thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Let air dry. Consult a cleaning professional to remove stubborn stains.
- Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the furniture surface for long periods; this could cause permanent marks. In case of pilling on the fabric, tuck any protruding threads into the fabric or gently push them to the back. Never pull on protruding threads or cut them. Do not use a garment steamer to remove creases, as this could damage the fabric.
- Mold can develop on dirt and dust ingrained in the fabric. Before cleaning, we recommend moving the furniture to a safe workspace or covering the surrounding floor. To remove mold stains, we recommend applying a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup of mild dish soap per gallon of water. Let the solution sit for up to 15 minutes. Clean the entire surface with a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry completely before use.
