Blu Dot's Hot Mesh counter stool are full of character, ready to welcome relaxing moments at home or accompany lively conversations in the café. Their design is directly inspired by the iconic café chair designed by Thonet in 1859. Even if you don't necessarily know its name, its look is surely familiar.
Lightweight, durable and stackable design
The Blu Dot team wanted to revisit this classic by designing a collection that was durable, lightweight, and stackable, adapting equally well to cozy interiors and lively patios. The idea was to create a solid structure using minimal material while maintaining an elegant and timeless silhouette. All that remained was to find the ideal material for the seat and backrest. Existing solutions, such as standard perforated metal or technical fabrics, did the job, but lacked personality.
Bold style for indoor and outdoor use
This is how their unique, custom-developed perforated steel pattern was born. This approach transforms a simple utilitarian object into a statement piece, giving rise to the Hot Mesh. The result: a stackable stool, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, that combines aesthetics and practicality.
Anti-corrosion powder-coated steel and optimized storage
Made of powder-coated steel with a zinc primer, it resists corrosion and weathering, while remaining easy to move. Plastic glides are integrated under the legs to protect your floors, and its design allows you to stack up to four stools for optimized storage. Also available as a chair, Hot Mesh brings a graphic and sparkling touch to any space.
