Taking Fire to New Heights.
With Sky Dome, Le Feu takes things to a whole new level. Suspended from the ceiling, this bioethanol fireplace transforms a real flame into a striking design statement. Its sculptural dome, clean lines, and Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic create a warm, inviting focal point without taking up a single inch of floor space.
And the best part? No chimney, gas line, or electrical connection required. Sky Dome runs on bioethanol, offering the beauty of a real flame without smoke, soot, or ash under normal operating conditions.
Everything You Need to Know About the Sky Dome Fireplace
Sky Dome is a ceiling-mounted fireplace designed in Denmark by Le Feu. It runs on bioethanol and produces real flames without requiring a chimney or gas connection. Its rounded shape and suspended installation make it a distinctive architectural feature, particularly suited to modern and contemporary interiors.
Sky Dome uses a burner fuelled by liquid bioethanol. Once the fuel has been added to the burner according to the manufacturer's instructions, it can be lit to produce a real flame and supplemental heat. The fireplace is secured to the ceiling using a rigid suspension system that positions the dome at the selected height.
Yes. Unlike electric fireplaces that simulate fire, Sky Dome produces genuine flames through the combustion of bioethanol. It delivers the natural movement, light, and warmth of a real fire without logs or a gas connection.
No. Sky Dome runs on bioethanol and does not require a chimney or flue. When operated correctly with the appropriate fuel, it normally produces no visible smoke, soot, or ash. However, combustion consumes oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water vapour, so adequate room ventilation is still essential.
Yes, Sky Dome may be suitable for certain condos and apartments, provided the ceiling structure can safely support the fireplace and all ventilation, clearance, and safety requirements are met. Building regulations, condominium rules, and local requirements should also be checked before installation.
