A sofa blending tubular aluminum and hand-woven synthetic rattan

The 2-seater Dog Days sofa by Blu Dot stands out as a centerpiece for contemporary patios and gardens. Its tubular aluminum frame with clean lines interacts with hand-woven synthetic rattan, whose warm and organic texture softens the rigor of the design. A successful blend of modern architecture and relaxed spirit.

A subtle contrast between organic rattan texture and minimalist metal structure

Dog Days distinguishes itself from both the front and the back. The backrest's weave creates a subtle interplay of materials, where the warmth of the rattan elegantly contrasts with the sleekness of the metal structure. The seat, slightly suspended within its minimalist frame, gives the whole a visual lightness rarely seen in outdoor furniture.

Thick and enveloping cushions designed to resist UV, humidity, and weather

The "ravioli" cushions — thick, enveloping, and deeply comfortable — are covered in high-performance Sunbrella® fabric, renowned for its resistance to UV, mildew, and weather elements. Soft to the touch and easy to maintain, this textile guarantees impeccable performance season after season.

A piece available in several finishes and colors

Designed to withstand the elements without ever sacrificing aesthetics, Dog Days adapts to all your outdoor spaces — patio, terrace, garden — and invites you to fully enjoy long summer days. Available in several cushion colors and frame finishes to integrate seamlessly with your style.

  • This sofa is covered with Sunbrella© fabrics. Sunbrella fabrics are treated to be water and stain resistant and prevent mold formation. We recommend regular cleaning, as mold can grow on dirt and dust embedded in the fabric.
  • Vacuum the upholstery regularly; this will prevent dirt and dust from embedding in the fabric. To remove small wrinkles, we recommend using an iron set to the "synthetic" setting.
  • Act quickly in case of spills. Blot up spilled liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub the surface. Apply a solution of water and mild dish soap to the affected area. Rinse the fabric surface thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry. Consult a professional cleaner for stubborn stains.
  • Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the furniture surface for long periods; this could cause permanent marks. If the fabric pills, tuck any loose threads into the fabric or gently push them to the underside. Never pull on loose threads or cut them. Do not use a garment steamer to remove wrinkles, as this could damage the fabric.
  • Mold can grow on dirt and dust embedded in the fabric. Before cleaning, we recommend moving the furniture to a safe workspace or covering the surrounding floor. To remove mold stains, we recommend applying a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup of mild dish soap per 4 liters of water. Allow the solution to sit for up to 15 minutes. Clean the entire surface with a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove any residue, working from seam to seam. Allow to air dry completely before use.

Combining business with pleasure

At Blu Dot, the philosophy is clear: design is not just about aesthetics. It must, above all, adapt to today's lifestyles and work environments, offering solutions that are creative, functional, and intuitive. Each creation aims to improve everyday life—to make it more fluid, more enjoyable, more seamless.

With this in mind, each piece designed by Blu Dot is designed to last, with a true personality and purpose. The goal? To offer useful, durable objects capable of providing pleasure day after day, year after year.

Blu Dot

Homemade

True to its artisanal and collaborative approach, Blu Dot designs all of its products in-house. Everything is created in-house, from the first sketches to the finished product. Their team of designers works hand in hand in the Minneapolis workshop, passionately exploring each step of the process: sketches, mock-ups, material testing, prototypes, packaging… nothing is left to chance. Each project becomes a collective adventure, fueled by exchange, experimentation, and attention to detail.

About Blu Dot

Since its inception, Blu Dot has pursued the same ambition: to make good design accessible to as many people as possible. A simple, yet powerful idea—one that has guided the company for over twenty years.

What the founders perhaps didn't anticipate is that so many years later, they'd still be there, in their Minneapolis studio, imagining objects that are beautiful, useful, and designed for everyday life. The difference today? The team has grown, it's enriched with passionate talent... and the workbench has seriously grown.
