Blu Dot's Open Plan collection is built on a simple belief: there are no secrets to successful furniture; what you see should be enough. Desks, bookcases, benches, and storage units in this range all revolve around a common principle: celebrating a single material in its purest form to create functional spaces that are both understated and full of character.

Crafted from solid wood and white oak, walnut, or black oak veneer, the Open Plan collection showcases a consistent aesthetic vocabulary across all its pieces: compact or generous desks, low, tall, or slender bookcases, with or without closed storage, as well as a matching bench that can be adorned with an upholstered seat. This diversity of formats allows for the creation of a fully coherent living or working space, from the most modest studio to the most structured office.

The common thread of the collection lies in the treatment of the furniture backs, which are fully finished, allowing them to be installed indifferently against a sofa, flush against a wall, or floating in the center of a room, without ever revealing a raw or unfinished side. This attention to the smallest details is also found in the storage versions, where closed doors equipped with soft-close hardware discreetly conceal everyday clutter, while open versions fully embrace the display of books, objects, and vinyl records, with their shelf heights specifically designed for this purpose.
